Since 2018, the Queer Fam Fund has helped over 400 queer and trans people attend Honcho Campout. In 2026, we continue this work by removing the financial barriers that prevent our most marginalized community members from participating.
QFF is a fundraising and outreach initiative centered on supporting Black, Indigenous, people of color, and people of trans experience, ensuring Campout remains accessible, intersectional, and community-driven.
We value every donation, no matter the size. The amounts below are suggested only to help show what different levels of support can provide. Every dollar raised goes toward supporting someone in our community in a real, tangible way.
$90 - Facilities Access
Covers the required Four Quarters facilities fee that every attendee must pay to enter the grounds.
$200 - Camping Gear
This would cover a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, as well as, insurance, shipping and labor to build the tents before the recipients arrive,
$300 - Meals for the Weekend
Covers Wednesday dinner, two meals a day Thursday through Sunday, and breakfast on Monday
$500 - Travel Support
Helps get someone to Campout through bus tickets, flights, or other transportation. Cost of travel is variable and depends on where the recipient is located
$1000 - Full Campout Experience
Covers travel, meals, camping gear, and access, making Campout fully possible for one person.
Campout tickets for QFF recipients are fully waived by Honcho, and no QFF funds are used for ticket purchases. As a thank-you, donors who contribute $500 or more are eligible for pre-sale ticket access the following year.
In addition to crowdfunding, QFF is supported by a portion of each ticket sale, with $15 from every Campout ticket going directly to the fund. Patrons can also contribute during checkout when purchasing their tickets.
This program is a huge team effort by dozens of people to ensure the entire experience is as easy and smooth as possible. We all see the work we do as important and well worth the effort.
