I have been a photographer for over 60 years. In 2014, I started photographing in the Polar regions with a trip to the Svalbard archipelago in the High Arctic. Since then, I have returned there five times. I have also been on photography trips to the Falklands/Malvinas, the South Georgia Islands, and the Antarctic Peninsula as well as trips to sub-Arctic Patagonia and a recent two week trip to Greenland.

In September 2022, I joined an NSF sponsored 52-day cruise on the United States Coast Guard icebreaker (USCGC) Healy from Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands to the North Pole. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and one I want to share with the public though the publication of my book: "From Brooklyn to the North Pole, 52 days on the USCGC Icebreaker Healy
