Support The Princess’s Dance Dream: Nationals Bound
Donation protected
Aloha, this is for my daughter - The Dancer. In the last year and a half, as a young person, she has pushed through more obstacles than many adults. We left Maui shortly after watching so much devastation to our island from the fires. She has gone through a huge injury this year, had to start over at a new studio when we moved here, and play catch-up to the dancers that are here on this very competitive island. She definitely has made up for it with her 6 to 7 days a week made up of from 15-19 classes. This year, she achieved her first palladium on her solo! She also accomplished all this and graduated a year early!! Her team received many awards for their group dances, and they were even in the top five in almost all their dances at their last competition! When in Maui, the team she was on did not travel like the competitive team Izzy is on now. She has a chance to go to two nationals, but they are coming up really fast and as a single parent, it’s very hard. But since she is hitting this stage in life as far as her age and doesn’t have very many competitive years left, I am doing everything I possibly can, working two to three jobs a day, to make sure I’m able to take her to these nationals! Izzy plans on doing dance as a career and also working with dancers as a physical therapist, so giving her all the dance opportunities is definitely beneficial for her future. It’s just been very hard financially for any parent and definitely one that’s doing it all on her own. She doesn’t have the support or communication from her other parent, and I would just like to show her that she is loved and I can see all her hard work and dedication, and I’m trying to give her the best future possible! I don’t believe dance should be for the financially well-off, and maybe someday I can help change that because her and I both know that there are many dancers out there that cannot attend these events because of the price. So I will make it my mission in the future to figure out how to help change that! So for now, I’m just asking if you can share this and if you have the means to donate, anything helps. Thank you all for your support always!
