Support the Presnell Family - Hurricane Helene Relief
Donation protected
The Presnell family experienced an unimaginable tragedy on Friday, September 27 when Hurricane Helene damaged their home in Trade, TN. Mindful of the catastrophic wind, the family of five took shelter in their basement only minutes before multiple trees fell on their home. In the days that followed, key supplies like water and baby formula dwindled with no cell service to call for help. Though they survived, most of their furniture, clothes, household and sentimental items were ruined so they face the daunting task of starting over.
Cheyenne is an assistant teacher at Valle Crucis Elementary School and Josh is a diesel mechanic. Their daughters, ages 5 and 7, attend Valle Crucis and their son is nine months old.
All funds raised will be used to secure permanent housing and support additional costs as they begin to rebuild their lives in North Carolina.
Your generosity will have a tremendous impact on this kind and hardworking family. Thank you so much!
Our connection: Cheyenne was my son’s assistant teacher last year at Valle Crucis Elementary School, which is located between Banner Elk and Boone, NC. Helping her family during this difficult time is a just small thank you for the tremendous care she provided my son and his classmates!
