On the morning of March 12, tragedy struck the Presnell family in a way no family should ever have to endure. Dustin Presnell and Jessica Clarke lost their home and, heartbreakingly, their two young children in a devastating house fire. Their daughter Paisley Presnell, who would have celebrated her 3rd birthday tomorrow, and their son Landon Presnell, who would have turned 2 on May 6, both lost their lives in the fire. These two beautiful children were deeply loved and will forever be remembered.
During the fire, Dustin heroically attempted to save his children and suffered severe burns while trying to pull them from the flames. Dustin and Letty Moore (Jessica’s 8-year-old daughter) were both injured and are currently in the hospital awaiting transfer to Chapel Hill for specialized treatment for their burns. In addition to the unimaginable loss of Paisley and Landon, the fire completely destroyed the family’s home. Nothing was salvageable, and they have lost everything.
Right now, this family is facing an overwhelming number of challenges at once: funeral and memorial expenses for Paisley and Landon, medical treatment and recovery costs for Dustin and Letty, temporary housing and basic necessities, and the long road of rebuilding their lives after losing their home. No parent should ever have to bury their children, and no family should have to face such immense loss alone. We are asking for support from the community to help the Presnell family during this heartbreaking time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping them cover medical expenses, funeral services for their two angel babies, and the difficult process of starting over. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Dustin, Jessica, Letty, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead.
