With President Biden’s historic pardon of Marcus Garvey on January 19, 2025, and the groundbreaking revelation of his death certificate in 2023/24 by Selena Carty—historian, cultural heritage advocate, and founder of Black PoppyRose—shared for the first time with his family and archives in Jamaica and England—the momentum for truth and recognition is stronger than ever. I am committed to keeping this momentum going.
