Help Support the Off-Broadway Run of Forget I Said Anything

This summer, Something Better Productions will present the Off-Broadway premiere of Forget I Said Anything, a new musical written and directed by Samantha Roberts at Theatre Row in New York City.

What began eight years ago as a 13-song cycle while Samantha was a student at Temple University has grown into a full-length musical featuring 30 original songs. Over nearly a decade of workshops, concerts, rewrites, and productions, Forget I Said Anything has evolved into a deeply personal story about memory, healing, self-discovery, and finding hope in life's most difficult moments.

At its core, the musical asks a simple but powerful question: How do we make peace with the experiences that shaped us?

Through fictional characters inspired by unresolved moments from the composer's own life, the audience follows a journey of heartbreak, self-doubt, resilience, and growth. Through the lens of memory and imagination, the show transforms painful experiences into stories that seek understanding, connection, and hope.

When Samantha first began writing Forget I Said Anything, she never imagined it would one day reach an Off-Broadway stage. Yet after years of development, support from collaborators, and belief from audiences, the show will officially open at Theatre Row on July 19, 2026.

This milestone would not be possible without the incredible artists who have poured their talent, passion, and dedication into bringing this production to life.

Now, we have an opportunity to take the next step.

We are seeking support to extend our Off-Broadway run by an additional week.

An extension would allow us to reach more audience members while creating additional opportunities for producers, investors, presenters, and collaborators to experience the show. Many industry professionals we hope to connect with will not be back in New York during our initial run, and an additional week would significantly increase our ability to build relationships that could help secure the future life of this musical.

As an independent 501(c)(3) theatre company, Something Better Productions operates on a limited budget. Extending an Off-Broadway production comes with substantial expenses, including theatre rental, staffing, marketing, insurance, and production costs. While we have worked tirelessly to bring this production to the stage, we cannot make an extension happen without community support.

Your contribution will help fund:

• Additional theatre rental and performance expenses
• Marketing and audience outreach efforts
• Production staffing and operational costs
• Support for the artists bringing this story to life
• The opportunity to introduce the show to future producing and presenting partners

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us move closer to our goal. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and theatre-loving communities is equally meaningful.

New musicals only survive because people believe in them. They grow because audiences connect with them. They continue because communities choose to invest in their future.

Thank you for believing in Forget I Said Anything, in new works, and in the artists who dedicate themselves to creating them.

We are so grateful for your support and cannot wait to share this story with even more audiences.
