Many know him as the Penn State Jell-O Shot Man—the guy who shows up week after week with hundreds of Jell-O shots, a smile, and a heart for giving. What began as a fun tradition became a way for him to bring joy and connection to the Penn State community, all on his own time and dime. He is also a devoted husband, loving dad, proud pap, and great grandfather. For over 30 years, he has given back to the Mifflin County community by refereeing basketball and umpiring Little League baseball, impacting generations of kids. Each Memorial Day, he honors our fallen heroes by playing Taps on his trumpet, a powerful and meaningful act of service. His sense of humor and classic Dad jokes light up any room, bringing laughter and comfort to everyone around him.
Recently, he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a life-changing cancer. As he begins treatment, he is facing significant expenses including medical care, medications, travel, and missed work. This fundraiser will help ease the financial burden so he can focus on treatment and healing.
If he has ever brought you joy, community, or a Jell-O shot, please consider donating or sharing. Let’s rally around someone who has given so much and remind him he is not fighting this alone.
