On January 24, 2026, our community lost a remarkable man. Felipe Antonio Peña, age 68, passed away peacefully in El Paso Tx, surrounded by the family he loved so fiercely.

Felipe lived a life defined by service, dedication, and unwavering loyalty. Born on October 15, 1957, he spent many years protecting and serving his community as a police officer, ultimately retiring with the rank of Captain. His commitment to integrity and hard work continued long after his law‑enforcement career, as he rose from security guard to facility manager at DISH Network—a testament to his character, determination, and leadership.

But Felipe’s greatest pride was always his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He was the steady presence everyone leaned on—a protector, a storyteller, a source of wisdom, and the man who could make anyone laugh with a perfectly timed joke. And if you knew him, you knew one thing for sure: don’t you dare touch his beard.

Felipe leaves behind his beloved wife, Joselle Peña, his children—Chris (Azalea), Crystal (Joseph), Eloisa (Brittney), and Felipe IV—and his many cherished grandchildren who adored their Papa. He is also survived by his siblings, extended family, and countless friends who will miss him deeply.

As the family navigates this heartbreaking loss, they are also facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. Many have asked how they can help during this difficult time, and this fundraiser has been created to support the Peña family with:

Service Information

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4–6 PM at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935, followed by a service until 8 PM.

A final service will take place on February 6 at 11:00 AM, with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 11:30 AM. All family and friends are welcome.
