This is our family’s farm. When we first moved in back in 2007 all that stood was a small shed in the middle of the property, but over the course of 18 years our dad has built a beautifully chaotic barn with stalls and coops and playsets for all of our pets. My siblings and I share a lifetime of memories out in this barn raising horses, chickens, bunnies, and cows, but especially goats. This farm has been our pride and joy my whole life.
On the night of November 30th our beloved barn caught fire and we lost everything, save only a few animals who were able to make it out.
Our dad is now faced not only with the heartbreak of losing all of the goats he, and we, love so dearly, but also the task of rebuilding a barn in the wake of loss. This obviously comes with both an emotional and financial burden and we, his children, want to do anything we can to help ease that.
If you are one of the many people who have shared in the joy of the Peine farm, whether it be purchasing eggs, participating in goat club, or riding the horses we are humbly asking for your help at this time.
We would appreciate any donation, any share of this post, or even just a comment/photo of your memories at our barn.
We know that time heals all wounds and we’re eager to look to the future in hopes of building new, happy memories as a family.
Thank you for taking the time to read and share in our grief at this difficult time.
