On Wednesday, 4/22/26, our family received the kind of phone call that changes your life forever. The kind that stops time, takes your breath away, and leaves you praying for a miracle. My brother Toño was involved in a devastating head-on collision while driving home from work, and in a matter of seconds, everything changed.
He suffered severe and life-threatening injuries that have already required multiple surgeries, with more still ahead. He is expected to remain hospitalized for several weeks and will face a long and painful road to recovery. His injuries include a broken hip, broken ribs, and internal organ damage. Once he is stable enough to come home, he will still need extensive physical therapy, follow-up appointments, and ongoing care.
Unfortunately, Toño does not currently have medical insurance, and he will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time while he heals. As many know, life doesn’t stop during tragedy. Bills continue, responsibilities remain, and the stress of it all grows heavier by the day.
Anyone who knows Toño knows the kind of man he is. He is an amazing father, devoted husband, loving son, and the best brother anyone could ask for. He is the first person to show up when someone needs help, the one who would give without being asked, and someone who carries so much love in his heart for the people around him.
With the blessing of his wife, we are asking for support for the Pedroza family during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease the burden they are carrying and allow them to focus on what matters most right now, Toño’s healing and recovery. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to our family.
We are beyond grateful to the hospital staff who have worked tirelessly to keep him comfortable and alive. We are also deeply thankful for every prayer, message, visit, and kind word. He hears the love surrounding him, and it has truly helped lift his spirits during this fight.
To me, my brother has always been a man of steel. Seeing him like this has been heartbreaking and unreal but if there is one thing I know, it is that Toño is strong, resilient, and a fighter. He will come back from this stronger than ever.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every prayer, every share, and every bit of support. Our family will never forget it.
God bless you all, and please stay safe and remember to tell your loved ones you love them. You never know if they’ll come home when they walk out the door.
