Support the Overlands After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Many of you have a friend or loved one impacted by the devastating wildfires in LA, and we are kindly asking for your help rebuilding the life of one of ours.
Our dear friend Courtney Overland’s house burned down in the Palisades Fire. We are Courtney's college roommates and live in Alaska (Libby), Brooklyn (Neesha), and Boston (Liz). These funds will be used for clothing, toys, and supplies for six people in three generations.
515 Chapala Drive was more than just a house. Courtney’s parents, Mark and Barbara, raised Courtney and her two older sisters there starting in the early 1970s.
Courtney—along with her husband, Jason, and two young children, Sydney and Robert—had recently moved back in to 515 Chapala to care for Mark and Barbara as they age. Mark is blind, and Barbara has significant physical limitations. They also have a family dog named Maggie and a seeing eye dog named Judge who helps Mark navigate the only home he has ever known as a blind person.
Over fifty years of family heirlooms, memories, and all the possessions of three generations of Overlands were instantly extinguished in this tragic fire. Sydney and Robert also lost their school and church.
The Overlands will need all the help they can get in starting their lives over completely from scratch.
We hope you’ll consider a donation.
