In Loving Memory of Ana Brenda Ortiz

Hello, my name is Francisco Cordova Ortiz, and I’m the son of my beautiful mother, Ana Brenda Ortiz, who sadly passed away on June 15th, 2025, at 11:18 PM, after an incredibly courageous 22-year battle with brain cancer.

I’m raising funds to help cover my mother’s funeral and cremation expenses, as my family and I are going through an emotionally and financially difficult time.

My mom was a single mother of three — me, my brother Jesus, and my sister Lupe. Despite being diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was born and given only months to live, she defied every odd and dedicated her life to raising us. For 22 years, she worked multiple jobs to keep a roof over our heads, put us through school, and make sure we never went without — all while silently fighting cancer.

She never let her illness get in the way of being a mother. Even after a devastating car accident left her with two broken legs that never fully healed, she remained independent and strong-willed. She hated asking for help and insisted on doing things herself — even something as small as opening her favorite Smirnoff Ice.

Some of my most treasured memories are waking up on Sunday mornings to the sound of Marc Anthony or Prince Royce blasting at full volume while she cleaned the house, singing and dancing with joy. She supported me through every major moment of my life — my first heartbreak, my graduation, school field trips — working overtime and late nights just to make those experiences possible. And no matter how tired she was, she would always scratch my back so I could fall asleep — a small act of love that meant the world to me and one I’ll never forget.

Her dying wish was to live long enough to see all her children grow into adults, and by God’s grace, she did. We’re heartbroken by her loss, but we take comfort knowing that she is finally at peace, reunited with her father and many loved ones in heaven.

We are asking for your prayers, support, and any donations you can give to help lay our mother to rest in the way she truly deserves. Every contribution — no matter the amount — means so much to us and will go directly toward honoring her memory and legacy.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. And please, always tell your loved ones how much they mean to you — life is precious, and you never know how much time you have left.

With love and gratitude,
