Hi Lago Vista, this morning a family in our community suffered a tragic loss due to a fire in their home. They have lost all of their belongings along with their two huskies. Luckily the children at home woke up when they heard the top story collapse and were able to get out of the house. Lago Vista Fire Department and EMS were able to respond quickly and the children were transported to a hospital for smoke inhalation. Many of you have grown to know and love Amy as she is the general manager at Lakeside Subs. Amy's husband Derek has served three tours with the Air Force in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa and is decorated 36 times. He is now medically retired as a disabled combat veteran due to air carrier and combat illnesses. Please join us in gathering around the Orr family during this time of loss as we help them get their feet back on the ground. Donations for the family will also be collected at Lakeside Subs.
