Support the Original Song Project 2025

Back by popular demand, we’re thrilled to announce the third-ever Original Song Project (OSP), happening this Labor Day weekend in the heart of Manhattan! But we need your help to make it happen.

The Original Song Project 2025 is a 5-day immersive songwriting workshop for young adults (ages 18–40). Our mission is to create an artistic, constructive, and supportive space for young adults to inspire the writing and sharing of original songs.

At the conclusion of the workshop, every participant will have the chance to perform an original song(s) that they have written and worked on at a special open concert for family, friends, and community members, on Sunday, August 31.

We want to make this unique workshop affordable and accessible for young adults from across the country — and that means keeping the participation fee low and offering scholarships for those who need help with travel or tuition.

What’s New for 2025?

The workshop is condensed into an impactful five day program this year. We wanted to design an experience that feels accessible for working professionals, while still keeping the heart and goals of the workshop.

We’re excited to welcome back Joe Young--a professional songwriter, musician, and teacher based in Florida--as our guest mentor for the entire week. With his passion and guidance, our participants will grow their songwriting skills, get real feedback, and create songs straight from the heart.

Director Sunhwa Reiner is a music educator and creative leader who has designed many successful musical experiences for all ages.

The staff: Iasmin Lumibao, Bosoon Karimi, King Muzungu, and Luke Scazzero are lifelong instrumentalists, musicians, and songwriters, and are veteran members of the Original Song Project with a drive to bring the best ideas to the workshop.
