like you get off the train and someone blows an hit of that Haitian zombie drug in your face every time I blinked another year had gone past. I might have trapped in this zombie state forever too had fate not intervened . 2016 a girl I knew was brutally murdered by a phsyco boy on a killing spree moments after I walked away from her . It was the straw that broke the camel’s back and snapped me back awake into the world of living . I went to rehab got clean met a girl and the last thing my stepfather did before he passed away was tell me he was proud of me and give me another chance at life by allowing me to stay with them fresh out of rehab . I didn’t stay long but it made all the difference and he passed away not long afterwards . I think sometimes fate has plans for us we can’t always see though . I was working over 80 hours a week at a refrigerated warehouse in Boyertown Pa when I had a medical event which I could only describe as a near death experience the whole situation was very unsettling and unnerving for everyone involved and afterwards despite logging the most hours of any employee in are building every week I still lost my job . Sometimes I think things happen for a reason though , I ended up back at the farm temporarily while I tried to find new employment but before I could those plans were put on hold after my fiancé and I were rear ended while sitting at a traffic light by an f 150 coming off the highway at a high rate of speed . The resulting injuries took several years to recover from during which I began fall in love with my mothers farm and to truly understand how unique this little piece of property really is . It backs up against the Pennsylvania “ Great Marsh area “ a once vast rapidly drying wetland where evidence of man dating to the Stone Age has been found , is located at the bottom of a massive glacier drift , is only a 5 minute drive from the abandoned Pquea silver mine just outside of Lancaster and the farm itself operated as the local blacksmith ( probably for the silver mine ) for over 300 years .
I have had this incredible sense of purpose for the last several years but it wasn’t until after the eagles won the superbowl and I scaled that giant statue that I finally knew it was time . It’s not about how many times you fall down it’s how many times you stand back up . The farm is in shambles broken but not yet lost . The last thing Charley did before he passed away was give me a shot I intend to take it . I am raising money to launch my social media farm project funds will be spent on farming and social media content equipment and expenses .
