Support the Referendum #NoCampaign on March 8th

My name is Senator Sharon Keogan.

I'm fundraising to oppose the Government parties, Sinn Fein, Labour, Social Democrats & PBP and support the ‘Vote No, No’ Campaign on Friday 8th March.

I'm hoping to raise €40,000 to cover the following:

  • 5,000 Posters
  • 100 packs of Cable Ties
  • Full page advert in a Sunday Newspaper this weekend.

I will rely on you and the public to volunteer to put these posters up in our cities, our towns & our villages in the coming days.

Please contact me if you would like to volunteer to erect & take down posters in your area. Please let me know which county you would like to cover.

I know the amount of support that is out there for the #Vote No side.

We can win this if we all just give a little.

So why are we asking you to Vote No, No?

39th Amendment (Family) Bill

It’s completely unnecessary — the Government can already put in place any supports they want for single-parent families, for cohabitants or for parties to other relationships-if they have the political will.

But they are unable to point to a single practical benefit that requires a Yes vote in this referendum.

It’s just empty symbolism.

And meanwhile the proposed changes, especially the vague new concept of ‘durable relationships’ could have serious knock-on effects on:
  • Family Law (claims on finances/property),
  • Pension Law,
  • Succession Law,
  • Taxation Law and
  • Immigration Law (Family reunification.

40th Amendment (Care) Bill

The proposed new article gives no rights to anyone and places no legal onus on the Government to do anything.

The present wording has never discriminated against women in the workplace.

The broader policy of removing “woman/mother” from the Constitution caters nicely for the prejudices of radical trans activists though.

So please give what you can. No amount is too small.
