My name is Lan Anh Huynh. I am starting a GoFundMe campaign for my best friend Banso and her family - people who I’ve known for the past 15 years.

The Nguyen family has lost their home of over 20 years in the Eaton Canyon fire. In minutes, they had to grab what they could to evacuate the area. The family was unable to save any keepsakes or photo albums. Thankfully, they were able to save their family dog, Milo and their cat, Babybel.

There are no words to describe the horrifying loss the entire community of Altadena has faced. They are mourning the destruction of their home, their memories, and their livelihoods. With this money, Banso and her family will be able to purchase much needed essentials in this time of need.

My heart hurts for my friend. Knowing that Banso lived and cherished Altadena, for her entire life, has made this especially hard. She loves this city and its community above all else.
