The Next Episode: A New Hope
As many of you know, I’ve spent the last year and a half in a showdown with Stage 4 lung cancer. It’s been a long, unpredictable journey — physically, mentally, and emotionally — and there have been days when it’s been hard to recognize the person staring back at me.
But every good story has a turning point. On November 6th, my incredible medical team and I will take the next big step: a lobectomy, where they’ll remove up to half of my right lung. Yes, it’s scary — honestly, one of the biggest moments of my life — but it’s also my best shot at finally “ringing the bell” and stepping into a cancer-free future.
The recovery will be tough. I’ll be out of work and Trivia for up to six weeks, and as someone who’s not great at asking for help, this might be the hardest part. But the truth is: I can’t do this alone.
I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help me through this chapter, and Venmo and Cash App are options as well. If I’ve ever made you laugh, hosted a fun night, been a friend, or just brought a little light into your world, I’d be deeply grateful for your support as I face this next challenge.
This isn’t the end of the story — it’s the pivotal scene where the hero faces the final boss. Thank you for standing with me, for your kindness, and for being part of my journey.
