On February 1, 2026, a fire broke out in the Tanager Rd apartment building where the Newman family lives. The building suffered major damage, and they were forced to evacuate immediately, with nothing but their phones and clothes they were wearing. They were also able to get all 3 of their cats out of the home safely.

Now, Marrissa, Brian, and daughter Sasha, have no place to live while the building is being assessed and repaired, and they are left scrambling to find temporary housing for themselves and their cats during an already stressful time. To make matters more complicated, their 16 year old daughter is recovering from surgery she had 3 weeks ago.

The Newman family is in need help of help to cover immediate costs such as

Temporary housing/hotels

Food and daily essentials

Transportation

They are grateful that everyone is safe, but could use a little help in this difficult time to ease the burden while they get back on their feet.
