Hi there! We are the Nevarez family and we have taken in a mom and her 7 puppies to make sure they have a good home and lots of love and care.

We found mom on the reservation where my husband works as a teacher. The area shelters are full and we have not been successful with finding them good homes due to the economic stress that comes with feeding and caring for animals. People are struggling out here, so we have taken in the puppies and we had already taken in some stray cats along with our 2 dogs. We have the space on our property to share with our new buddies; however, we are stretched thin with resources due to me getting laid off recently. We are blessed to make do with just my husband’s teaching salary since we are pretty frugal.

Our dogs have been spayed and neutered accordingly and we have had their shots taken care of before I lost my job. We have a tiny home with lots of property and space for them to run around; however, we need to pay for a fence to keep them safe and out of trouble with our neighbors. We were warned that if they are caught chasing the cows that roam on our property, they have the right to shoot the dogs! The trouble is we don’t have the funds to get the fence right away in order to keep the cows out.

If you are able to help, we would like to raise some funds to get a good-sized kennel to help keep them safe and a smaller fence to create a nice dog run for them until we can save up enough to fence in our entire property to keep the cows out.

The kennel is $500 and the fencing will be approximately the same amount for the amount of yard that we need to close in for the run.
