In 2020, my dad Ian had a major stroke, which changed his and our families' lives. Thanks to the fantastic work of everyone involved initially at the NHS and then the countless people who supported his recovery at the Queen's Square Hospital, he has recovered and is living life to the full.
The Queen's Square Hospital supports people with all neurological conditions, of which 14.7 million people are affected in the UK. The research they conduct and the care they give to 100,000 people every year make a massive impact on the lives of so many.
On the 26th of October I will be running my first Marathon around the Monuments of Washington D.C, to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, the fundraising arm of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), London.
I would be very grateful for any donations to support the work of the NHNN, which has had such a positive impact on my family and many others.
Big thank you to all of you!
