Everyone Is Safe

For those who know Annette and Jimmy, you know what wonderful people they are. First and most importantly, everyone is safe, including all of the dogs.

August 14, 2026 brought a tragic loss for the Narel family. I do not yet have all of the details, only a high-level understanding of what happened. Annette’s van caught fire, which then spread to the house. To answer a question some may have: no, the van was not an electric vehicle. Beyond that, I only know that any further details are pending.

Anyone in the dog community likely knows RushNAround and the Narels, whether from training, trialing or from having Annette as a judge. They have been active members of the AKC community for decades and are truly wonderful people.

This GoFundMe was created to help Annette, Jimmy, their daughter Samantha, their granddaughter Riley, and their eight dogs as they face this devastating loss. Being displaced and rebuilding what they have lost could take years, and many items can never be replaced. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help.
