The Incident
On Friday night, January 9th, our dear friends Danielle and Alex Napier, along with their young sons Lucas and Sawyer, were victims of a horrific multi-vehicle crash in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. While sitting at a red light on Battlefield Parkway, their vehicle (a silver Armada) was violently struck by a car involved in a high-speed police pursuit.
The impact was devastating. While Sawyer and Danielle are miraculously okay physically, the rest of the family has a very long road to recovery ahead of them.
The Injuries
Lucas: Little Lucas bore the brunt of the impact on his side of the car. He suffered several lacerations, a fractured spine, and internal injuries. He is currently admitted to the Children’s Hospital where he has already undergone stitches for head and facial injuries and is awaiting further evaluation by a neurosurgeon.
Alex: Danielle’s husband was unconscious for a significant amount of time following the crash. He suffered a broken cheekbone and a severe concussion.
Danielle: While focusing entirely on her husband and children, Danielle is also suffering from whiplash and injuries to her head, back, and neck.
How You Can Help
The Napiers are now facing a mountain of unexpected expenses. Their primary vehicle—the silver Armada—was destroyed in the crash. Between medical bills for two hospitalizations, the need for a rental car to get to and from the hospital, and the loss of income while Alex and Danielle focus on healing and caring for their children, the financial strain is overwhelming.
