Hudson Moye, lovingly known as “Huddy”, shared his special brand of joy and energy with everyone around him. Huddy’s fun-loving, mischievous, and strong-willed spirit shined brightest through his love of all sports, whether cheering on his favorite teams or putting his own skills to work in football, lacrosse, baseball, and swimming. When he wasn’t playing sports, he loved to hunt and fish with his dad and his older brother or sing with the Wesley Methodist Children's Choir where his family belongs, serves and worships. Huddy was all boy in his activities and interests, but was the spitting image of his mom with vibrant blue eyes and the sweetest dimples.
On the morning of September 23rd, Huddy’s parents went to wake their beloved son and faced every parent’s worst nightmare. Hudson, age 9, had passed away in the night.
Hudson Raymond Moye is survived by his parents, Megan and Charlie, as well as his two loving brothers, Gray (12) and Campbell (4), their tight-knit extended family, a host of friends, and a community who adored him.
The funds raised here will be used to honor Hudson's legacy. Over the coming days, weeks, and months, his family will establish their vision for Huddy's legacy, whether that be a scholarship fund, a memorial event, or a project or charity, and use this fund to carry forward that vision in a way that reflects their values, honors Hudson's memory, and highlights his life’s impact on their family and in their community.
Most of all, this is a tangible way for friends, family, and the community to come together in support and love for the Moye family and show that Hudson’s life, his love, and his spirit will be remembered and honored. We will remember him, we will speak his name, we will tell stories about him, and we will carry his legacy forward.
Please consider helping in any way you can, whether through your donation or by sharing this fundraiser with others.
