At the beginning of October, John suffered a stroke and was airlifted from Jackson to Idaho Falls for emergency care and treatment. After spending a week in the ICU, he moved to two weeks of inpatient rehab to help prepare him to come home.
John has now made it back home to Jackson to be with Kelsie and the boys. He’ll continue outpatient rehab for the foreseeable future as he works toward recovering from the stroke. While the road ahead is long, they’re so happy to be back home together as a family and are taking things one day at a time.
The outpouring of love and support from their Jackson community, family, and friends near and far has meant so much to them. All the help, kind words, and support over the past month have made a huge difference for their family during an incredibly difficult time.
If you’re looking for a way to help, please consider making a donation. Contributions will go toward covering the medical bills from the past month, along with the ongoing expenses John will face throughout his recovery.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked in, and supported John, Kelsie, Jack, and Finn. They’re incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful community behind them as they navigate the road ahead.
