Support the Monsons

On October 24th my sister, brother in-law, his parents, and his uncles with their families lost everything in the Kincade Fire. The ranch that they spent their lives working on and making a home was gone in a matter of hours.

In the 1970s my brother-in-law’s father had a dream of turning a cattle ranch into grape vines and a place that his family would want to gather for generations to come. With a lot of hard work and determination, he became a farmer and accomplished that goal. He and his brothers raised families there and today my brother-in-law and my sister are raising their own there as well. Alex and Rosie have two young children, AJ (7) and Avery (5). Rosie is due in two weeks with their third child.

Despite learning that they had lost it all, I have yet to hear one family member complain. They are grateful to have each other and have faith that they can rebuild and make their ranch a home again.
