Early this morning, October 22nd, a fire broke out in the dairy barn of Dave and Dawn Mock in Penn Township, Butler County. Dave and Dawn, along with their children, Wyatt, Hunter, and Sierra, run the day-to-day operations. If you know them, they are one of the hardest working families in the area.
Despite the quick response from local firefighters, the barn and everything inside was lost. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the loss has left the family facing an enormous challenge as they work to rebuild and recover. Fortunately, they were able to get some equipment and, most importantly, the cows out of the barn safely. The barn also supplied electricity and water to the family home.
The barn wasn’t just a building – it was the heart and soul of their family’s livelihood and daily life. It held years of hard work, memories, and the essentials to keep their farm running.
As we all know, working through a loss like this with the insurance company is not easy, and most likely, the insurance funds they will receive will not cover everything lost with today’s economy. Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward rebuilding the barn, replacing essential supplies, and helping the family get back on their feet.
If you know the Mock family, you know they have huge hearts and are known for their generosity and kindness. They are always willing to help others when in need. Let’s come together as a community and help them recover from this heartbreaking loss and let them know they are not alone.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
