Yesterday, June 6, 2025, my parents annd sisters experienced something no family should ever have to go through—a devastating house fire that destroyed nearly everything they own.

While we are grateful they are safe, the emotional and physical toll is overwhelming. Their beloved dog, Gauge, miraculously survived by hiding in a back room for three hours before a heroic Cal Fire firefighter rescued him. Sadly, my mom also lost her best friend of 29 years—her African Grey Parrot, Coco.

In an instant, they lost:

-Their home and all their belongings

-Furniture, tools, and essentials

-Irreplaceable family photos and sentimental heirlooms

-Their beloved pet bird, Coco

-Their long-awaited 29th every year wedding anniversary trip, which was only 16 days away, due to losing all their camping gear and the money that was saved for this trip in the fire.

-medications that insurance will not cover. 

The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward helping my parents with:

-Temporary living expenses as they begin the long process of rebuilding

-Veterinary bills and ongoing care for Gauge

-Cremation and memorial costs for Coco

-Replacing essentials lost in the fire

-paying for medication that is needed.
