Hey everyone. As most in our small community of Paris, Ky knows Jay Mitchell and his wife, Heather, along with the children, Tyler, Trevor, Julia, Lily and Gabby. Last Thursday Jay experienced a devastating health event. He choked during his sleep which caused his airway to be blocked. His heart worked as hard as it could to help him but he went into cardiac arrest. After 14 minutes with our wonderful EMS paramedics they revived him but his brain had been deprived of oxygen for close to an hour. He was then airlifted to UK hospital where he received great care from the doctors, nurses and the staff. So many from our community have literally prayed and prayed and prayed for a good outcome for Jay but it seems that wasn't part of God's plan. It was decided by his family to let him go to his heavenly home this past Sunday and it was also decided to donate his organs to either help or save other people's lives. If you knew Jay you knew how much he would help anyone in need. Him and Heather are definitely givers in our community so hopefully we can give back to his family in their time of need. If you can't help I ask you for prayers of comfort for his entire family. I absolutely love this community and how we unite in a time of crisis.
