Urgent Safety Repair for the TASC Building

The Turkish American Society of Chicago (TASC) has served for many years as a center for community gathering, worship, and education in Chicago.

Every week, hundreds of people come to our mosque for prayer, our children attend educational programs, and families gather for cultural and social activities.

However, the marble panels on the south side of our building have started to detach from the wall due to water infiltration that freezes during the winter months. This situation now poses a serious safety risk for pedestrians passing by.

The City has notified us that this area must be repaired urgently.

Following inspections, it has been determined that the existing marble panels must be completely removed and replaced with a safer stucco exterior finish.

The estimated cost of this repair is approximately $70,000, and the work must be completed between late April and mid-May.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a budget allocated for this urgent repair.

For this reason, we are reaching out to our community for support.

Every contribution will help protect the safety of the TASC building and ensure that this important community center continues to serve future generations.

TASC Binamız İçin Acil Güvenlik Tamiri

Chicago’daki Turkish American Society of Chicago (TASC) yıllardır toplumumuz için bir buluşma, ibadet ve eğitim merkezi olarak hizmet veriyor.

Her hafta yüzlerce insan camimizde ibadet ediyor, çocuklarımız eğitim programlarına katılıyor, ailelerimiz kültürel ve sosyal etkinliklerde bir araya geliyor.

Ancak binamızın güney cephesinde bulunan mermer kaplamalar, zaman içinde sızan suyun kışın donması nedeniyle yerinden kopmaya başladı. Bu durum artık yoldan geçenler için ciddi bir güvenlik riski oluşturuyor.

Şehir yönetimi tarafından bu bölümün acilen tamir edilmesi gerektiği tarafımıza bildirildi.

Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda mermerlerin tamamen sökülerek yerine daha güvenli bir stako kaplama yapılması gerekiyor.

Bu tamirin maliyeti yaklaşık 70.000 dolar ve çalışmanın Nisan sonu – Mayıs ortası arasında tamamlanması gerekiyor.

Ne yazık ki bu acil tamir için ayrılmış bir bütçemiz bulunmuyor.

Bu nedenle toplumumuzun desteğine ihtiyacımız var.
