I have officially decided that I am joining “Youth with a Mission” in Kona Hawaii. Missions were first put on my heart last summer when I did my first ever mission trip to Mexico. While in Mexico I heard God tell me very clearly that I was going to do long term missions. I thought to myself “God, no I could never do that”. But it was exactly a year later that I gave my firm yes to God in joining YWAM. God is funny like that, he turns what seems impossible into the easiest yes.

YWAM is a global Christian missionary organization. It focuses on training and mobilizing individuals, particularly youth, for Christian mission work and service. I will be starting my journey with YWAM in October 2025. The length of the program is 6 months. I will be at my base in Kona, Hawaii for the first 12 weeks for the lecture portion of this DTS. Which will include Hearing from trusted speakers from all over the world teach on topics such as Nature and Character of God, Biblical Worldview, Missions, etc! I will be deepening my relationship with God by diving into activities such as evangelism, Bible study, lectures, worship, and intercession.

My second phase of this program is the outreach portion which is for 3 months. As a group we will be traveling to a different country to Teach the Bible, See God use you to change lives, Share the gospel with another culture, Teach people how to follow Jesus, Serve local believers, Face your fears and take risks.

I know that God has called me to missions for a reason and I am so excited to tap into what he has in store for me in this next season.
