My name is Olesia Kornienko, and I’m the founder and president of Miss Wheelchair Canada — a nonprofit initiative that celebrates strength, beauty, and confidence in women who use wheelchairs.

As a woman born with cerebral palsy, I’ve spent my life seeing both the challenges and the incredible potential of people with disabilities. My dream has always been simple — to help the world see the beauty that exists beyond limitations.

Now, that dream is coming true.

On August 30, 2025, we brought together an extraordinary group of women from across Canada for the Miss Wheelchair Canada 2026 Calendar Photoshoot — a day filled with empowerment, laughter, courage, and joy. These photos capture not just faces, but stories — of resilience, freedom, and the power of self-belief.

This unique calendar includes not only the usual holidays, but also important awareness dates for people with disabilities, such as World Cerebral Palsy Day and Rare Disease Day, to help raise awareness all year long.

But this project is just the beginning.

All proceeds from the calendar will go directly toward:
Printing and distributing the Miss Wheelchair Canada 2026 Calendar
Organizing the Miss Wheelchair Canada 2026 Pageant, which gives women a national platform to shine, share their voices, and be celebrated
Launching preventive care and wellness workshops for women in wheelchairs — promoting health, confidence, and community support

We are raising $4,950 CAD to make this dream a reality. Your donation, no matter the size, helps us show that beauty has no limits and inclusion has no borders.

Every calendar sold, every story told, every photo shared is a step toward changing how the world sees disability — not as a limitation, but as another form of strength and grace.

Please join us in supporting this movement. Together, we can build a future where every woman — standing or seated — knows she is seen, valued, and beautiful.

✨ Because disability is not a limitation — it’s a new definition of strength.

With love and gratitude,
Olesia Kornienko
