Hi, my name is Katie and I’m starting a fundraiser on behalf of my parents. As some of you know, my father (Brian) has been battling prostate cancer since I was in high school, which has since metastasized to his bones and is currently affecting his ribs. On April 28th of this year he suffered a mini stroke, when landed him in the hospital to try and treat him and help him recover- well I don’t recommend Mercy for any of that. Anyway, we have since discovered that he has spinal stenosis in two areas of his spine, gallstones, and emphysema.

Dad is now home receiving weekly PT and working out a plan to treat the rest of his ailments, which leaves my mom to take care of him on her own as she is also the full time care giver to her 99 year old mother in their home.

To say things are stressful is an understatement. I fly up when I can to help out, but I can’t be there as much as I’d like as I own my own business with no employees to help.

I know times are hard for everyone right now, but if you’ve got anything to spare, all money donated will be going towards Brian’s medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover and whatever else will help mom with bills, groceries, prescription costs, etc.
