Hi all - my name is Matt Bachmann and I am setting up this GoFundMe Page to raise money for the Michael John Walsh Scholarship, which was named in memory of one of my best friends, Mike Walsh.

A little bit about Mike for those that did not have the pleasure of knowing him:

He was a lifelong resident of New Milford before leaving home to attend Penn State University (PSU). He was in his senior year at PSU, making the Dean's List the last four semesters, preparing to receive his degree in Agriculture Business Management. Michael had just accepted an offer to start his dream job with Cal-Maine in Ohio where he could pursue his goal to feed the world, but sadly never got to fulfill this role. He loved sports especially Devils Hockey, Giants Football, playing a round of golf and fishing, but more importantly, he cherished his time with family and friends. He was the loving son of John G. and Nancy (nee Domine) Walsh and a loving brother to his sister Caitlin. He is dearly missed.

We are coming up on 10 years now since we lost Mike at 21 years old on March 29, 2016. Every year his family and friends Miles, Joey, Alex, and many others have held many events to raise money for his scholarship that is awarded to a student who embodies Mike's character.
