My name is Jahnei Smith and I am the producer for The Method, a student-driven short film from Columbia College Chicago. This film was created to honor the quiet strength of those whose love has not been fully reciprocated. Our mission is to turn heartbreak into hope, reminding us that fulfillment starts with loving ourselves.

Logline

A young college student auditions for the fall play. While performing, an insight begins to fade into an unrequited love story between a boy who wanted to be seen and a boy who was scared.

This is an LGBTQ+ coming of age short, with themes like queer secrecy and self-acceptance. This story deserves recognition everywhere and we would be eternally grateful if you helped us to further promote this film.

We have successfully raised enough funds to cover most of our production costs on Indiegogo.com, but we still need support in being able to cover submission fees to enter this touching film into multiple film festivals.
