Support the Mero Family During Cheryl's Cancer Battle

Dear friends,

We've launched this GoFundMe with open hearts to rally around the Mero family.

On May 1st, Cheryl was diagnosed with triple-negative Stage 2a breast cancer. Cheryl has already completed 15 rounds (of 16) with a surgery planned for some time in November or December. After surgery, she will need to complete radiation, but at this point, we aren't sure how many rounds will be needed. There is also a possibility of additional chemo, based on future scans. She will eventually need a second surgery.

This news was particularly devastating after the massive heartache both Cheryl and Beau have been through with the loss of both their moms in the past 5 years. They have barely had a chance to grieve and process those losses, and now they need to shift all of their focus to getting Cheryl through this next hurdle.

Cheryl works at Face & Jaw Surgery Center in Grand Forks; they have been wonderful and understanding. Cheryl purposefully chose to do her treatments on Fridays so she wouldn't miss much work. However, she will need several weeks off to recover after her surgeries, and Beau will most likely need to take time off as well to care for her. To help the Mero's focus on recovery, and to alleviate worries about financial strain while they take time off work, we are asking for help from her friends and family.

These donations will go to help them focus solely on Cheryl's recovery and not have to worry about their day-to-day expenses. These two have overcome so much together, and they still have a tough road ahead. Your kindness and support mean the world to us - every bit helps and no amount is too small.
