These are the faces of The Mercy Dog Project. Each one of these sweet souls has a story to tell and were left with nowhere to go. As a part of our Mercy Dog project, we step in and provide safety and security when they need it most. Won’t you help us help them? Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe to care for these precious dogs. All of the money we receive will go towards food, treats beds, toys, vet care and enrichment for these dogs
You can read more about each one below
Jemimah
A beautiful 9yr old German Shepherd girl who came to us when her Dad went to the hospital for surgery in March 2026 but due to complications, he’s been unable to return home and remains in an assisted rehab facility. As part of our Mercy Dog Project, we have been caring for this sweet girl, giving her lots of love and attention and keeping her very comfortable. She loves treats and balls and a soft bed to relax on.
Jimmy & Luna
These 2 adorable pups had no place to go when our dear friend and client had to move quickly from one home to another in a different state. Her hope is that she will be reunited with Jimmy & Luna soon but as part of The Mercy Dog Project, we saw the need and brought them into our home until she has a safe place to stay. They are the happiest and sweetest pups and we are all hoping they are reunited with their Mom soon.
Mercy & Gracie
2 beautiful gray face sisters. Mercy is a 12yr old hound dog and Gracie is a 10yr old beagle. Their Mom passed away more than 2 years ago and their Dad was caring for them until he became ill and passed away 2 weeks ago and the girls were left with no where to go. As a part of our Mercy Dog Project we will provide a loving home and care for both girls.
Buddy
A stunning 2 yr old lab mix that was going to daily boarding and daycare when his owner decided he no longer wanted to care for Buddy and he didn’t have time to find him a home so told us he would just take him out back and shoot him. As part of our Mercy Dog Project now, Buddy is loved and cared for without fear of losing his life due to a neglectful owner. He is a wonderful dog
Frisco (Reecy) (Paris)
On a Monday morning in July we received a call we never wanted to get. A family member of a boarding client with 3 dogs called and begged for help. The owner of the 3 dogs was suddenly incarcerated and the dogs had been left in the house in their crates for more than 24 hours. No water, no food and no help. Our Mercy Dog Project stepped in, we raced to the home, with permission from the incarcerated owner, retrieved the dogs and brought them to safety. Upon arriving , 2 of the larger dogs were in one crate together. There was not enough room for them both to lay down. One of the dogs seemed sick and the other stood over her as if to protect her, it was all he could do. They were all exhausted and it was a crisis and they needed us. We brought them to safety, and gave them extra care and attention, it was a situation we just couldn’t believe. 3 days after arrival, Paris began hemorrhaging from the nose and mouth, we rushed her to the vet only to be told it was an inoperable brain tumor and she passed that morning with us by her side. We continue to care for her brother Frisco, a 10 yr old white bulldog.
Baby sister Reecy, a 2 yr old Portuguese water dog found an amazing home with our dear friends and is living her best life with them.
As part of our Mercy Dog Project, we stepped in when they needed us and they are both safe and loved.
Bailey
She is a 13 yr old border collie mix. She was a regular boarding and daycare client and in April of 2023 her Mom moved into an assisted living facility and Bailey couldn’t go with her. As part of our Mercy Dog Project , Bailey joined us and is a loved member of our pack and is happy and thriving. She still loves to play ball as if she was just a pup. She caught the eye of one of our dear friends and is now living her best life with her st her home and they take daily walks in the creek, visit with neighbors and of course, play lots of ball.
Roscoe
A beautiful 10 year old pit bull, he has been with us since 2017. He was found by a client on the streets of Rome, Ga and was just a stray. She really wanted to keep him but it just wasn’t working out. She asked if we could take him and he is a founding member of our Mercy Dog Project, we make sure Roscoe is treated like the king that he is. He is the longest member of our current pack and we all adore him
