Help the Melton Family After an Unimaginable Loss

For over 30 years, the Melton family has been a part of the fabric of Daytona Beach Shores. Their small, family-run business has served this community with love and care, always there for neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. But now, they are facing an unthinkable tragedy, and they need our help.

On Friday morning, in the midst of a devastating hurricane, the Meltons lost their daughter, Jennifer. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to so many. Jennifer’s children, 3-year-old Jordan and 17-year-old Chloe, are now left without their mother.

When Jennifer didn’t wake up, her family immediately called 911. Despite the hurricane raging outside, paramedics arrived as quickly as they could, a small miracle in itself. But with the storm raging and the bridges closed, Jennifer’s parents, Nancy and Micheal Melton, couldn’t get to her. They had to wait—helpless until the storm passed and the bridges reopened.

Once it was safe, Nancy, Micheal and Chloe went to her side to say their final goodbyes. No parent or young child should ever have to go through this. The pain is indescribable, and their world has been turned upside down.

As they grieve, they’re also facing the aftermath of the storm with no power and so many uncertainties ahead. Right now, they need the support of the community they’ve loved and served for so long.
