Ayúdanos a darle el descanso eterno que merece

Con el corazón destrozado y una tristeza que no puedo describir, escribo este mensaje con la esperanza de poder recaudar fondos para cumplir el último deseo de mi tía Katy, quien nos dejo el 16 de Mayo.

Lo que comenzó con una simple gripe y de la noche a la mañana escalofrío, se convirtió en algo mucho más grave. La llevamos al hospital con la esperanza de que todo fuera pasajero, pero la manana siguiente nos dieron la peor noticia que nadie quisiera escuchar. Después de una hora y media de intentos por revivirla, su corazón ya no pudo resistir más debido a una bacteria.

Aunque no tuvo hijos propios, nuestra tía Katy fue una madre, amiga y hermana para todos los que tuvimos el honor de conocerla. Su generosidad, su cariño y su luz nunca serán olvidados por quienes compartimos momentos a su lado. En este momento tan difícil, nos encontramos enfrentando los gastos imprevistos del funeral y el traslado de su cuerpo a México, donde siempre quiso descansar.

Ahora, nuestro único deseo es cumplir su sueño: ser enterrada en su tierra natal, México. Ella siempre quiso regresar, reunirse con su madre y sus hermanos, a quienes no veía desde hace más de 20+ años. Como muchos de nosotros, dejó su hogar en busca de una vida mejor, pero nunca dejó de soñar con regresar algún día. Ahora, aunque no pudo regresar como ella quería, estamos luchando por hacer realidad ese último deseo y poder despedirla como siempre soñó, rodeada de sus seres queridos: Mama y hermanos.

Recurrimos a ustedes con el corazón en la mano. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, es una ayuda. Si no puedes aportar económicamente, compartir este mensaje con tus seres queridos sería también de gran ayuda para nosotros.

With a broken heart and a sadness I can’t describe, I write this message with the hope of raising funds to fulfill the last wish of my aunt Katy, who left us on May 16th.

What started as a simple cold and chills overnight turned into something much more serious. We took her to the hospital hoping it would be something temporary, but the following morning we received the worst news anyone could imagine. After an hour and a half of attempts to revive her, her heart could no longer hold on due to a bacterial infection.

Although she didn’t have children of her own, our aunt Katy was a mother, sister, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her generosity, kindness, and light will never be forgotten by those of us who shared moments with her. Now, in this incredibly difficult time, we find ourselves facing unexpected funeral costs and the expense of bringing her body to Mexico, where she always wanted to rest.

Our only wish now is to fulfill her dream: to be buried in her homeland, Mexico. She always wanted to return, to be reunited with her mother and siblings, whom she hadn’t seen in over 20+ years. Like many of us, she left her home in search of a better life, but she never stopped dreaming of going back. Now, although she couldn’t return the way she had hoped, we are fighting to make that last wish come true, so we can say our final goodbyes, surrounded by her loved ones: her mom and siblings.
