Hi, we are friends of Lesley Mejia, looking to support the Mejia family after Lesley’s mom, Imelda Mejia, was diagnosed with a Stage 4 brain cancer.

Imelda was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, April 4, after concerns of headaches, memory loss, hand tremors and chills. The doctors had found a tumour and Imelda underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumour on Sunday, April 5. Unfortunately, only 60-70% was removed and revealed Imelda is suffering from a highly aggressive and malignant stage 4 Glioblastoma (GBM). In addition, Imelda suffered a stroke, affecting her left side, further complicating her condition.

At this time, Imelda is undergoing occupational therapy and physiotherapy treatments. The hope is for Imelda to undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy, but it is contingent on Imelda's progress with her physiotherapy.

We are hoping to help raise funds for the Mejia family so that they can fully focus on being with Imelda during this very difficult time as she undergoes treatment. The raised funds will help alleviate the financial burden related to Imelda’s recovery, covering daily living expenses while her family takes time off work to support her.
