Honoring the Life and Legacy of Our Beautiful Mother, Georgina Medina

Our mom was the light in every room, the life of the party, and a warm embrace to everyone lucky enough to know her. Her spirit was contagious, she could lift you up on your hardest days and make you feel like part of the family, even if you’d only just met. To us, and so many others, she was a mother figure. Every person who crossed her path felt truly seen and cared for. Our mom spent her life serving those around her whether at church, in the community, or simply offering a listening ear to a friend in need. There was nothing too big or too small that she wouldn’t do to help someone else. Even on her toughest days, when she was battling colon cancer that eventually spread throughout her body, she never lost that beautiful, selfless part of herself. Her faith was strong, her heart was kind, and her free-spirited soul shined until her very last breath. She was my dad’s greatest love and our rock a mother to four children, the youngest only 13 years old. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts that will never truly heal, but we know that her legacy of compassion, joy, and unconditional love will live on forever.

We want to honor her memory in the most meaningful way we can by sharing her story with those who knew and loved her and reaching out for support as we navigate this heartbreaking time without her. Funds raised will help cover funeral expenses, support her four children as we transition into this new chapter of life, and allow us to celebrate her in a way that reflects the beautiful life she lived. Honrando la Vida y el Legado de Nuestra Hermosa Madre, Georgina Medina

Nuestra mamá era la luz en cada habitación, el alma de la fiesta y un abrazo cálido para todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla. Su espíritu era contagioso; podía levantarte en tus días más difíciles y hacerte sentir parte de la familia, incluso si apenas te acababa de conocer. Para nosotros, y para tantos otros, ella era una figura materna. Cada persona que cruzó su camino se sintió realmente vista y cuidada.

Nuestra mamá dedicó su vida a servir a los demás, ya fuera en la iglesia, en la comunidad, o simplemente ofreciendo un oído atento a algún amigo que lo necesitara. No existía nada demasiado grande o demasiado pequeño que no estuviera dispuesta a hacer para ayudar a alguien más. Incluso en sus días más difíciles, cuando luchaba contra el cáncer de colon que eventually se extendió por todo su cuerpo, nunca perdió esa parte hermosa y desinteresada de sí misma. Su fe era fuerte, su corazón bondadoso, y su espíritu libre brilló hasta su último aliento. Ella fue el gran amor de mi padre y nuestro pilar, una madre para cuatro hijos, el más pequeño con tan solo 13 años. Su partida deja un vacío en nuestros corazones que nunca sanará del todo, pero sabemos que su legado de compasión, alegría y amor incondicional vivirá para siempre. Queremos honrar su memoria de la manera más significativa que podamos, compartiendo su historia con quienes la conocieron y amaron, y buscando apoyo mientras enfrentamos este momento tan doloroso sin ella. Los fondos recaudados ayudarán a cubrir los gastos funerarios, apoyar a sus cuatro hijos en esta nueva etapa de la vida y nos permitirán celebrarla como ella merece, reflejando la hermosa vida que vivió.
