Hi, my name is Maddy and I am creating this GoFundMe in order to gather support for Doug, Alycia, and the apples of Doug’s eyes; Everly and Addison.

Last week, Doug suffered a ruptured appendix and was transferred to the Cranbrook hospital to receive life saving care. Doug is facing a dangerous infection and currently undergoing a treatment plan for an interval appendectomy which requires he receive heavy antibiotics in hopes it will fight off the inflammation and infection. He will then receive surgery, likely in 8 weeks.

In the meantime, he remains in hospital. The latest shows that a different antibiotic and potential manual drainage of infection may be required as the infection is not responding to the original antibiotic. He also as an intestinal blockage causing inflammation, discomfort and pain.

With Doug an hour and a half away in Cranbrook, Alycia has been travelling every day to be with him while juggling parenting the girls.

Doug will be off work for the foreseeable future and I would like to raise some funds to help ease the stress and the tole it is taking on this wonderful family until Doug is back home with his girls where he belongs.
