Child Illness: Help Support the McGuire Family

Hi, my name is Jena and I am fundraising for the McGuire family who is currently going through a very trying time as their sweet son, Wyatt (age 5) has been hospitalized and is being treated for necrotizing pneumonia.

The last thing any parent(s) needs while their child is battling a severe illness is to worry about work and finances. It is with great respect and honor that I ask you to help support this family so they can be alleviated of the unnecessary financial stress so they can focus their energy on the health and well-being of their son.

Wyatt's illness began as the flu and it progressed quickly into pneumonia requiring him to be transported to Children's Hospital in Denver and admitted to the PICU on 11/13/2022. After approximately 6 days in the hospital, Wyatt was discharged and able to return home. Unfortunately, Wyatt's return home was short lived before returning to the ER on 11/20/2022 and subsequently back to Children's Hospital, at which time he was diagnosed with necrotizing pneumonia. The following is the latest update from Gabby and Tim (Mom and Dad):

Wyatt has necrotizing pneumonia. The most important thing right now is for these antibiotics to work and to kill the bacteria eating away at his lungs!!! He may have long term lung damage or other complications moving forward we don’t know for sure. Lord, please heal this beautiful bright eyed boy! He has so much life and fight in him!! Please continue to fight with us!

We appreciate any and all support for this beautiful family! We will keep you updated as we learn more. If you are unable to make a monetary donation, a meal train will be arranged for the family once they are able to return home and that information will be provided at that time.
