On August 3rd, we tragically lost a bright light in our community, Jackson McCardle, a 14-year-old who was about to begin his freshman year at Alanson Public Schools. Jackson attended our school since kindergarten, and he was known for his creative spirit and a kind heart that touched everyone he met.

Jackson had a unique ability to light up a room and was always ready to offer a helping hand or a warm smile. He was an incredibly creative and thoughtful young man whose artistic talents were well beyond his years. Jackson made a difference simply by being himself, and he will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family: his parents, Magen and Jeremy, his younger brother, Caden, and his younger sister, Addison, as well as with all of his friends and our entire community during this difficult time.
