Support the McAlister-Harris family

The McAlister and Harris families were irreversibly changed on March 5, 2024, when Chris Harris tragically and unexpectedly passed away. He will be missed by so many, and especially by his three sweet children, Skylar (almost 13), Raleigh (9), and Scout (7).

Everyone who has had the good fortune of knowing Scarlett knows at least these things: She's STRONG - physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is a fiercely loyal friend who will drop everything to support the people she loves. She has a way of making everyone she meets feel like the most important person in the world. And, lastly, she'll never ask you for ANYTHING without including an apology for the imposition and gracious, heartfelt acknowledgement of your willingness to help. When Scarlett shared the news of this tragedy with me, I offered to put this page together for her and asked if she wanted me to do it. "I can't answer that" is all she would say. Even in the face of unimaginable grief and no way of knowing how she'll be able to fully provide for her children going forward, she's too humble and too proud to ask for help.

The reality is that Scarlett's work in the entertainment industry, while once thriving, was something she put on hold in order to care for her children. The complex realities of the pandemic and the difficult choices they had to make as a result have hit her family hard. While she is currently working as a riding instructor and horse trainer, this job was never meant to be the sole source of financial support for her family.

Scarlett has a solid network of supportive family and friends who will do anything and everything we can to make things a little easier. This support will be instrumental to her and the kids as they emotionally heal from the trauma of this tragedy. What I hope is that her financial concerns can also be eased with contributions to this gofundme.

Let's put our arms around Scarlett, Skylar, Raleigh, and Scout, literally and figuratively. They need us more than ever. <3
