Do It for the Dogs: Support The Max and George Trust & Rhodes Group’s Mission

The Max and George Trust recently relocated to a new site in Middleton - a chance to give over 50 abandoned and mistreated dogs the safe, loving home they deserve. But the building they moved into was run-down and in desperate need of repair. Taking in so many vulnerable dogs was never going to be easy, but thanks to the tireless efforts of founder Lauren and her dedicated team of volunteers, that dream began to take shape.

Standing proudly beside them is Rhodes Accident Repair Group, a local business that has gone above and beyond - donating labour, materials, and even a van to support the Trust’s work. That van has already been put to vital use - not just for transporting dogs, but for rescue missions. Sutton Coldfield locals may remember Lenny, the little dachshund who went missing in Sutton Park. It was Lauren and her team who set up the traps that led to his safe return. That’s what this work is all about: hope, action, and reunion.

Right now, Lauren receives over 20 calls a day from people needing to re-home their dogs. The rising cost of living means more and more puppies and older dogs are being surrendered. Many have nowhere else to go. But The Max and George Trust steps in - every time.

Rhodes Group has already made incredible progress transforming the Middleton site, but there’s still much to be done.
