Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

My name is Marianne Bungcag, and I am the aunt of Stephanie Maurer as well as the great-aunt and godmother of her daughters, Brooke and Heidi. I want to share the heartbreaking situation of the Maurer family—a family of five, including Cathy (the grandmother), Stephanie and Brian (the parents), and their two daughters, Brooke and Heidi. They need our support to bring some light into their lives as they recover from this tragedy.

In the early morning of July 29th, a devastating garage fire destroyed their home, leaving the family with only the clothes on their backs. While they managed to escape the flames unharmed, the emotional and physical toll of this disaster is incredibly overwhelming.

The Maurer family has always been a shining example of kindness and support within our community. They have volunteered at the Christian Arts Theater, organized bowling events, and supported Empower Volleyball, consistently demonstrating their commitment to helping others. Now, it's our turn to help them.

The fire took everything: two cars, their home, cherished mementos, and all their belongings. They give all their praise to God for guiding them safely out of the fire. They now face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. This process includes finding temporary housing, replacing their cars, furniture, and clothing, and managing the many expenses that arise from such a catastrophic event. The Maurer's anticipate being displaced from their home for about a year or longer as they work to rebuild the garage and renovate the entire house.

We kindly ask you to consider donating to the Maurer Family GoFundMe page to support them during this challenging time. While they have insurance, it will not cover all out-of-pocket expenses. Your contributions will directly assist with:

- Replacing the two destroyed cars and addressing damages to two others

- Securing temporary housing for the family

- Purchasing essential clothing and personal items

- Covering immediate living expenses such as food and transportation

- School is starting soon, so they need to gather school supplies as well as items for Brooke's dormitory
