Hello, I am Erica and I am setting this up for my friends Nathan and Jackie Marrs. Nathan is a Chaplain serving our seniors and Jackie is a Librarian at a local elementary school. They have two young sons. They have spent years helping others and now it's our turn to help them.
After a very short illness that started Sunday afternoon, Nathan was hospitalized with severe pneumonia and sepsis, and was intubated 12/6. He was then transferred from Norton to Jewish Hospital, where he is being placed on an ECMO machine.
Jackie’s parents are coming from Pennsylvania to help with the boys, so childcare is covered for now. We know that they will need love and support in the coming weeks, and we will reach out to let you all know what shape that may take.
If you or your children are in contact with the boys, please be mindful. They know Nathan is at the hospital, that he’s getting treatment, and that he is sleeping while they work to make him better. Jackie wants to be sure that is the narrative that continues.
