Support the Marko Family After Tragic Loss

On Sunday, April 6, the Marko family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. With the support and wishes of the family, we want to share this truth with care: After a long mental health battle, Jordan initiated a house fire and took his own life, leaving his two sons, Otis and Arlo, their mother, Sara, and the family's beloved dog, Vanna.

While Sara, Otis and Arlo, and Vanna are lovingly supported by family, they are navigating life without their home, all of their belongings, and the boys without their father. The home is still standing but is uninhabitable until restoration is completed (October 2025). Everything inside the house was destroyed and due to the circumstances of the fire, insurance will not replace any of their personal belongings.

This fundraiser is to support the Markos as they begin to rebuild—emotionally, physically, and financially. Sara and the boys are staying with her parents for the time being and funds will go toward immediate needs like clothing, beds, basic essentials, and longer-term recovery.
